Data indicate that both topoisomerase3alpha (TOP3alpha) and RECQ4A/B helicases act independently of the anti-meiotic crossovers (COs) Fanconi anemia of complementation group M (FANCM) helicase.

AtTOP3alpha and AtRMI1 are involved in the suppression of crossover recombination in somatic cells and DNA repair.
