PGRB mRNA level was highest on Days 2-5 of the oestrous cycle, decreased over the next few days and increased again slightly on Days 17-20. The profile of PGRA mRNA levels was similar to that of PGRB throughout the oestrous cycle. During pregnancy, PGRB mRNA was at its lowest level during Weeks 3-5 and highest during Weeks 6-12.
Title: Cloning and expression of progesterone receptor isoforms A and B in bovine corpus luteum.
Data suggest that expression of nuclear PR (progesterone receptor) and PGRMC (progesterone receptor membrane components 1/2) vary with region of oviduct. Expression of PR, PGRMC1, and PGRMC2 are not affected by pregnancy or presence of corpus luteum.

analysis of expression of progesterone receptor membrane component 1, serpine mRNA binding protein 1 and nuclear progesterone receptor isoforms A and B in the bovine myometrium during the estrous cycle and early pregnancy
Title: Expression of progesterone receptor membrane component 1, serpine mRNA binding protein 1 and nuclear progesterone receptor isoforms A and B in the bovine myometrium during the estrous cycle and early pregnancy.
These results showed for the first time that 2 polymorphisms in the progesterone receptor (PGR) gene were associated with superovulation traits and indicated that it can be used as a predictor for superovulation in Chinese Holstein cows.
Title: Association analysis between variants in bovine progesterone receptor gene and superovulation traits in Chinese Holstein cows.
progesterone receptor has a role in regulating luteal and endothelial cell function in the bovine corpus luteum, especially at the early luteal stage as an autocrine/paracrine regulator
Title: Changes in the levels of progesterone receptor mRNA and protein in the bovine corpus luteum during the estrous cycle.
The following PGR gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the PGR cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want? Comment | Comment: PROVISIONAL REFSEQ: This record has not yet been subject to final NCBI review. The reference sequence was derived from NKLS02000015.1, AY656812.1 and AJ557823.1. On or before Apr 17, 2011 this sequence version replaced XM_002692943.1, XM_583951.5. Sequence Note: This RefSeq record was created from transcript and genomic sequence data because no single transcript from the same strain was available for the full length of the gene. The predicted protein is of comparable length and similarity to well-conserved proteins in other species. The genomic coordinates used for the transcript record were based on transcript alignments. Publication Note: This RefSeq record includes a subset of the publications that are available for this gene. Please see the Gene record to access additional publications. ##Evidence-Data-START## Transcript exon combination :: AY656812.1, AJ557823.1 [ECO:0000332] RNAseq introns :: single sample supports all introns SAMN03145416, SAMN03145417 [ECO:0000348] ##Evidence-Data-END## |
