GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Mosquitoes in the insecticide-treated net bioassay homozygous for the knockdown resistance kdr-w allele were knocked down significantly faster than those in the WHO bottle bioassay.
Title: The knockdown resistance mutation and knockdown time in Anopheles gambiae collected from Mali evaluated through a bottle bioassay and a novel insecticide-treated net bioassay.
Overall susceptibility (of An. gambiae and An. funestus) to the insecticides was between 80% and 98%, suggesting that there is some level of resistance, except for cyfluthrin 0.15%. The kdr PCR assay however, did not reveal any kdr mutations.
Title: Insecticide resistance profiles for malaria vectors in the Kassena-Nankana district of Ghana.
In bioassays An. funestus was susceptible to permethrin, deltamethrin and DDT. Anopheles gambiae s.l. remained susceptible or tolerant to deltamethrin and resistant to DDT and permethrin, but only when kdr allele carriers reached 90% of the population.
Title: A significant increase in kdr in Anopheles gambiae is associated with an intensive vector control intervention in Burundi highlands.
Knockdown resistance (kdr) is closely associated with DDT and pyrethroid resistance in the major malaria vector Anopheles gambiae and is considered to be causative of the resistance phenotype.
Title: kdr: can a single mutation produce an entire insecticide resistance phenotype?
The frequency of the knockdown resistance (kdr) gene among the M and S subpopulations of An. gambiae in Bioko, Equatorial Guinea, is reported.
Title: An unusual distribution of the kdr gene among populations of Anopheles gambiae on the island of Bioko, Equatorial Guinea.
The following AgaP_AGAP004707 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the AgaP_AGAP004707 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
