GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Syp1 can promote internalization of Ptr2 through a recently identified clathrin-independent endocytic pathway that requires the Rho1 GTPase. These findings elucidate the mechanism of Syp1 cargo recognition and its role in trafficking.
Title: Syp1 regulates the clathrin-mediated and clathrin-independent endocytosis of multiple cargo proteins through a novel sorting motif.
These data identify Syp1 as a novel negative regulator of WASp-Arp2/3 complex that helps choreograph the precise timing of actin assembly during endocytosis.
Title: The F-BAR protein Syp1 negatively regulates WASp-Arp2/3 complex activity during endocytic patch formation.
Results suggest that Ede1p and Syp1p are conserved, early-arriving endocytic proteins with roles in the formation and placement of endocytic sites, respectively.
Title: Early-arriving Syp1p and Ede1p function in endocytic site placement and formation in budding yeast.
The following SYP1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the SYP1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
