GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Results suggest that mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase (mMDH) activity is finely controlled in response to variations in mitochondrial adenine nucleotide balance.
Title: Adenine nucleotide-dependent and redox-independent control of mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase activity in Arabidopsis thaliana.
This study has shown that mMDH is an important respiratory element in Arabidopsis seeds, with a significant impact on early seedling growth. Perturbation of both mMDH genes in Arabidopsis seeds significantly elevated respiration rates at all stages of seed maturation, markedly reduced reserve accumulation, and accelerated the aging process in seeds.
Title: Loss of Mitochondrial Malate Dehydrogenase Activity Alters Seed Metabolism Impairing Seed Maturation and Post-Germination Growth in Arabidopsis.
a metabolic repair cycle involving mMDH and l-2HGDH is conserved in plant and mammalian mitochondria. [Malate dehydrogenase] [mMDH1]
Title: Plants Possess a Cyclic Mitochondrial Metabolic Pathway similar to the Mammalian Metabolic Repair Mechanism Involving Malate Dehydrogenase and l-2-Hydroxyglutarate Dehydrogenase.
Mitochondrial malate dehydrogenase 1 exhibited a negative correlation of mRNA and protein levels during cold-acclimation and de-acclimation in Arabidopsis.
Title: Analysis of differential expression patterns of mRNA and protein during cold-acclimation and de-acclimation in Arabidopsis.
The following mMDH1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the mMDH1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
