GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Here, we find that Sas2-dependent acetylated histone H4 K16Ac in bulk histones requires passage of the cells through the S-phase of the cell cycle, and the rate of increase in H4 K16Ac depends on both CAF-I and Asf1.
Title: A link between Sas2-mediated H4 K16 acetylation, chromatin assembly in S-phase by CAF-I and Asf1, and nucleosome assembly by Spt6 during transcription.
Sas2 acetylates histone H4 lysine 16 (H4K16), and telomere shortening in tlc1 mutants was accompanied by a selective and Sas2-dependent increase in subtelomeric H4K16 acetylation.
Title: Inactivation of the Sas2 histone acetyltransferase delays senescence driven by telomere dysfunction.
The functional relationships between Sas2p and the origin recognition complex in DNA replication and transcriptional silencing was examined in different genetic backgrounds.
Title: Positive roles of SAS2 in DNA replication and transcriptional silencing in yeast.
SAS2 is essential for the organization of the chromatin structure at HMLalpha locus.
Title: Chromatin assembly factor Asf1p-dependent occupancy of the SAS histone acetyltransferase complex at the silent mating-type locus HMLalpha.
The following SAS2 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the SAS2 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
