GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
RES is a 71 kDa heterotrimer composed of the 3 proteins Pml1p, Bud13p and Snu17p. We solved the 3-dimensional structure of the core of the RES complex as well as the 2 dimers, Snu17p-Bud13p and Snu17p-Pml1p
Title: Retention and splicing complex (RES) - the importance of cooperativity.
The results show that in the RES complex, an FHA domain of Pml1p is flexibly tethered via an unstructured N-terminal region to Snu17p.
Title: Crystal structure of the Pml1p subunit of the yeast precursor mRNA retention and splicing complex.
Snu17p RRM binds multiple ligand proteins and acts as a platform that displays functional modules of the ligands, including forkhead-associated domain of Pml1p and conserved polylysine motif of Bud13p
Title: An unusual RNA recognition motif acts as a scaffold for multiple proteins in the pre-mRNA retention and splicing complex.
The following PML1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the PML1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
