GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Nar1 holds two iron-sulfur (Fe/S) clusters at conserved amino- and carboxyl-terminal cysteine motifs, both of which are essential for Nar1 function and cell viability.
Title: Crucial role of conserved cysteine residues in the assembly of two iron-sulfur clusters on the CIA protein Nar1.
A deletion of NAR1 caused a similar increased sensitivity to oxygen.
Title: [FeFe]-hydrogenase-like gene is involved in the regulation of sensitivity to oxygen in yeast and nematode.
Results suggest that Nar1p represents a crucial, novel component of the emerging cytosolic iron/sulfur protein assembly machinery that catalyses an essential and ancient process in eukaryotes.
Title: The hydrogenase-like Nar1p is essential for maturation of cytosolic and nuclear iron-sulphur proteins.
The following NAR1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the NAR1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
