GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Study concludes that DNA methylation in Neurospora is mainly the result of a unidirectional pathway in which DIM-5 methylates histone H3K9 and then the DIM-2/HP1 complex recognizes the resulting trimethyl-H3K9 mark via the chromo domain of HP1.
Title: Direct interaction between DNA methyltransferase DIM-2 and HP1 is required for DNA methylation in Neurospora crassa.
The following dim-2 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the dim-2 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
