GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Here, the authors report that yeast chromatin assembly factor 1 (CAF1), a conserved histone chaperone complex that deposits H3-H4 during DNA replication, binds a single H3-H4 heterodimer in solution.
Title: Insights into the molecular architecture and histone H3-H4 deposition mechanism of yeast Chromatin assembly factor 1.
The authors show that yeast chromatin assembly factor 1 binding to a histone H3-H4 dimer activates the Cac1 winged helix domain interaction with DNA. This drives the formation of a transient intermediate containing two chromatin assembly factor 1 complexes, each associated with one H3-H4 dimer. Here, the (H3-H4)2 tetramer is formed and deposited onto DNA.
Title: DNA-mediated association of two histone-bound complexes of yeast Chromatin Assembly Factor-1 (CAF-1) drives tetrasome assembly in the wake of DNA replication.
MIF4G domain positioned centrally within the Not1 protein recognizes Caf1, which in turn binds the LRR domain of Ccr4 and tethers the Ccr4 nuclease domain

tight connection between DNA synthesis and histone deposition during DNA replication mediated by H3K56ac/CAF1/Rtt106 provides a mechanism for the stabilization of advancing replication forks and the maintenance of genome integrity.

deletion of POP2 is accompanied by an increase of both SLT2 and KDX1 levels.

The following POP2 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the POP2 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
