GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
The tricalbins function as multimers in membrane-trafficking events. tcb1, tcb3 double mutants have an altered vacuole morphology and are hypersensitive to cyclohexamide. RSP5 was identified as a single-copy suppressor of the cyclohexamide sensitivity.
Title: Characterization of the yeast tricalbins: membrane-bound multi-C2-domain proteins that form complexes involved in membrane trafficking.
The C-terminal C2 domains of tricalbins 1 and 3 are calcium-dependent lipid-binding units comparable to mammalian synaptotagmin C2 domains.
Title: The tricalbin C2 domains: lipid-binding properties of a novel, synaptotagmin-like yeast protein family.
The following TCB3 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the TCB3 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
