TCB2 likely does not bind lipids in response to calcium signaling. Suggested that calcium-insensitive TCB2 may mediate the creation of hetero-oligomeric tricalbin complexes in which TCB1, TCB3, or both supply a calcium-dependent membrane binding activity.
