GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Interactions between SPT6 and RNA Polymerase II
Title: Relationships Between RNA Polymerase II Activity and Spt Elongation Factors to Spt- Phenotype and Growth in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Results demonstrate that a fine-tuning of the Spt16 component of FACT by UPS is essential for proper chromatin reassembly and efficient transcriptional elongation, thus revealing a novel ubiquitin proteasome system regulation of FACT with physiological relevance in gene expression.
Title: Fine-Tuning of FACT by the Ubiquitin Proteasome System in Regulation of Transcriptional Elongation.
Histone chaperones FACT and Spt6 are important for appropriate H2AZ histone localization and for the functioning of RNA polymerase II.
Title: Histone chaperones FACT and Spt6 prevent histone variants from turning into histone deviants.
Spt6 and FACT have both overlapping and distinct functional interactions with histones and nucleosomes and that binding to each of the components of a nucleosome is not sufficient to produce nucleosome reorganization
Title: The Abundant Histone Chaperones Spt6 and FACT Collaborate to Assemble, Inspect, and Maintain Chromatin Structure in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
Data show that the histone chaperones POB3 protein FACT and chromatin-remodeling histone chaperone Spt6 prevent widespread accumulation of histone H2A.Z.
Title: The Histone Chaperones FACT and Spt6 Restrict H2A.Z from Intragenic Locations.
The following SPT6 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the SPT6 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
