Studied the SNPs at 16-17 exon of DGAT1 gene in Lori-Bakhtiari sheep (LB) and Zel sheep and the relationship of DGAT1 SNPs with some carcass traits.

A novel detected SNP in the 5' UTR of the DGAT1 gene might explain, at least partially, the variation of fat content in the milk of Sarda sheep.
