On Mar 16, 2007 this sequence version replaced NM_029979.2. Sequence Note: The translation start codon selected for this RefSeq is conserved in rodent species. A possible downstream start codon, which shows better cross-species conservation, would shorten the protein by 15 aa. The shorter protein is described in the literature, including PMIDs:12692137 and 14662771. No experimental evidence exists to show which start codon is used in vivo.
