GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Four distinct in vivo phosphorylated LIN-5 residues were found to have critical functions in spindle positioning. Two of these residues form part of a 30 amino acid binding site for GPR-1, which we identified by reverse two-hybrid screening. These LIN-5 phosphorylations promote LIN-5-GPR-1/2 interaction and contribute to cortical pulling forces

Progeny of these animals (F2) inherit either only F0 maternal or only F0 paternal chromosomes, and thus descend from only either of their grandparents' gametes.
Title: Engineered non-Mendelian inheritance of entire parental genomes in C. elegans.
GPR-1/2 can sense mechanical properties of the cortex, which may be important for GPR-1/2 function regulating spindle positioning and cytokinesis.

Data demonstrate that GPB-1 depletion results in the loss of GPR-1/2 asymmetry during mitosis.

Dynamic localization of gpr-1 to cell cortex forces generation of domains during spindle positioning.

The following gpr-1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the gpr-1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
