GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Sam37 interacts with the receptor domain of Tom22 on the cytosolic side of the mitochondrial outer membrane and links TOM and SAM complexes.
Title: Sam37 is crucial for formation of the mitochondrial TOM-SAM supercomplex, thereby promoting ?-barrel biogenesis.
Results show the relation between the identified presequence-binding region of Tom40 and the intermembrane space domain of Tom22. The identified presequence of Tom40 is capable of functioning independently of trans-acting TOM presequence-binding domain.
Title: Presequence recognition by the tom40 channel contributes to precursor translocation into the mitochondrial matrix.
Tom22 is regulated by the cytosolic kinases CK2 and PKA and by membranebound CK1.
Title: Glucose-induced regulation of protein import receptor Tom22 by cytosolic and mitochondria-bound kinases.
Study shows that the cytosolic domain of Tom22 links the outer mitochondrial membrane and the sorting and assembly machinery into a supercomplex, facilitating precursor transfer on the intermembrane space side and reveals receptor-mediated coupling of import and export translocases as a means of precursor channeling.
Title: Coupling of mitochondrial import and export translocases by receptor-mediated supercomplex formation.
beta2GP1-dependent uptake is mediated by bridging of the target cell to the phagocyte through the protein C- and N-terminal domains, respectively
Title: Tom20 and Tom22 share the common signal recognition pathway in mitochondrial protein import.
The following TOM22 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the TOM22 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
