Applications
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Pentapeptide-3 contained in this product work together to attenuate the muscle contraction. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a mimic of the N-terminal end of SNAP-25 which competes with SNAP-25 for a position in the SNARE complex, thereby modulating its formation. If the SNARE complex is slightly destabilized, the vesicle cannot release neurotransmitters efficiently and therefore muscle contraction is attenuated. Pentapeptide-3 is derived from snake venom. It is an antagonist of the acetylcholine receptor, and blocks nerves at the post-synaptic membrane, leading to muscle relaxation. In addition, Tripeptide-1 stimulates the production of the essential ECM proteins (collagen I & III, fibronectin, elastin & laminin) thus increases the firmness, boosts tissue renewal and healing process of the skin for anti- wrinkle action. It can be incorporated in various anti-wrinkle cosmetic formulations such as emulsions, gels, essence, eye cream, etc.
