CHO-K1/CD16B NA1 Stable Cell Line

Figure 1: FACS analysis of cell surface expression of CD16B NA1 on CHO-K1/CD16B NA1 cells.
The CHO-K1/CD16B NA1 cells (blue) and the negative control CHO-K1 cells (blue) were stained with PE anti-human CD16 antibody (Cat. No. 302008, BioLegend).

CHO-K1/CD16B NA1 Stable Cell Line

Recombinant CHO-K1 cells stably overexpress human Fc fragment of IgG receptor IIIb (FcγRIIIb / CD16B NA1). The surface expression of CD16B NA1 is validated by FACS analysis. This stable cell line product is designed for measuring binding affinity and stability of Fc region of antibodies, Fc fusion proteins, or antibody based biologics that bind with CD16B during biologics research and development.

Background
Gene Synonyms CD16; FCG3; CD16b; FCGR3; FCR-10; FCRIII; FCRIIIb
Background CD16 has been identified as FcγRIIIa (CD16A) and FcγRIIIb (CD16B) which are similar to each other. CD16A exists as a heterooligomeric polypeptide-anchored form in macrophages and NK cells. CD16B exists as a monomeric glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored form in neutrophils [1]. CD16B (FcγRIIIb) exists in two allelic forms, NA1 and NA2, [2-3]. The polymorphism of CD16B exhibits different binding affinities for IgG1 and IgG3 subclasses [3]. The different allelic versions are also demonstrated to be associated with susceptibility to diseases like idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis [4] and systemic lupus [5].
