CHO-K1/CD80 Stable Cell Line

Cluster of Differentiation 80 (also CD80 and B7-1) is a protein found on activated B cells and monocytes that provides a costimulatory signal necessary for T cell activation and survival. It is the ligand for two different proteins on the T cell surface: CD28 (for autoregulation and intercellular association) and CTLA-4 (for attenuation of regulation and cellular disassociation). CD80 works in tandem with CD86 to prime T cells.

Product Introduction
Product Description Recombinant CHO-K1 cells stably overexpress human CD80 on the surface. The surface expression of CD80 is validated by FACS analysis. This cell line is recommended for cell-based binding assay to screen antibodies against CD80 or to measure binding affinity between CD80 and anti-CD80 antibodies.
Culture Properties Adherent.
Stability Stability: Stable through more than 16 passages without significant changes in assay performance or expression profile.
Size Two vials of frozen cells (>1×106 per vial in 1 mL).
Storage Store cells in liquid nitrogen immediately upon receipt. Thaw and recover cells within one year from the date received.

Culture Conditions
Culture Medium Ham’s F-12K (Kaighn’s), 10% FBS, 4 μg/ml Puromycin (Cat. No. A11138-03, Life Technologies).
Complete Growth Medium Ham’s F-12K (Kaighn’s) (Cat. No. 21127-022, Life Technologies), 10% FBS (Cat. No. 10099-141, Life Technologies).
Freeze Medium-DATA 95% complete growth medium, 5% (V/V) DMSO (Cat. No. D2650, Sigma).
