Cbp3-Cbp6 also coordinates cytochrome b synthesis with bc(1) complex assembly
Title: The Cbp3-Cbp6 complex coordinates cytochrome b synthesis with bc(1) complex assembly in yeast mitochondria.
Results suggest that synthesis of cytochrome b occurs preferentially on those ribosomes that have the Cbp3-Cbp6 complex bound to their tunnel exit, an arrangement that may ensure tight coordination of cytochrome b synthesis and assembly.
Title: Cbp3-Cbp6 interacts with the yeast mitochondrial ribosomal tunnel exit and promotes cytochrome b synthesis and assembly.
model of the cytochrome C reductase/oxidase supercomplex from Saccharomyces mitochondria
Title: A structural model of the cytochrome C reductase/oxidase supercomplex from yeast mitochondria.
Cbp3p and Cbp4p are two mitochondrial proteins which are postulated to act as chaperones in bc(1) complex formation.
Title: Organization of assembly factors Cbp3p and Cbp4p and their effect on bc(1) complex assembly in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.
The following CBP3 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the CBP3 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
