GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Studied the yeast Rpt1 subunit and showed that following the removal of the initiation Met residue, the N-terminal Pro residue is either unmodified,mono-methylated, or di-methylated, and that this N-methylation has not been conserved throughout evolution.
Title: N-Terminal methylation of proteasome subunit Rpt1 in yeast.
We determined the crystal structures of Hsm3 and its complex with the C-terminal domain of the Rpt1 subunit.
Title: Structural basis for specific recognition of Rpt1p, an ATPase subunit of 26 S proteasome, by proteasome-dedicated chaperone Hsm3p.
Data show that proteasome subunits Rpt1, Rpt4, Rpn8, Rpn12, Pre6, and Pre10 are recruited to GAL10 rapidly upon galactose induction.
Title: Similar temporal and spatial recruitment of native 19S and 20S proteasome subunits to transcriptionally active chromatin.
The following RPT1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the RPT1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
