GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Our observations suggest that both APC(Cdh1) and SCF(Cdc4)-dependent proteolysis of Clb6 at the G1/S border are crucial for multiple cell cycle regulated events including proper expression of Clb2, the G1/S and G2/M cell cycle transitions and for proper completion of cell division at mitotic exit.
Title: The anaphase-promoting complex works together with the SCF complex for proteolysis of the S-phase cyclin Clb6 during the transition from G1 to S phase.
These data indicate that Clb5 and Clb6 promote cohesion which is then protected by Pds1 and that both mechanisms are required during replication stress.
Title: S-phase cyclin-dependent kinases promote sister chromatid cohesion in budding yeast.
the presence of Clb6, which is eliminated early in an unperturbed S phase, is stabilized when replication is compromised by replication stress or DNA damage
Title: Cyclin regulation by the s phase checkpoint.
Data show that, at early S phase, Hog1 prevents firing of replication origins by delaying the accumulation of the S phase cyclins Clb5 and Clb6.
Title: The stress-activated protein kinase Hog1 mediates S phase delay in response to osmostress.
The S-phase cyclin Clb6 can promote initiation of DNA replication without blocking reinitiation, and this activity is highly toxic when the ability of other cyclins to block reinitiation are prevented by mutation.
Title: Cyclin and cyclin-dependent kinase substrate requirements for preventing rereplication reveal the need for concomitant activation and inhibition.
The following CLB6 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the CLB6 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
