GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
Vrp1 protin is responsible for temperature sensitivity and plays a role in calcineurin activation and inhibition.
Title: Screening for a gene deletion mutant whose temperature sensitivity is suppressed by FK506 in budding yeast and its application for a positive screening for drugs inhibiting calcineurin.
Results identify an N-terminal fragment of Las17p able to interact with Vrp1p but not Arp2/3, and suggest that LAs17 interaction with Vrp1 is more important than interaction with Arp2/3 for polarized actin assembly and endocytosis in yeast.
Title: Las17p-Vrp1p but not Las17p-Arp2/3 interaction is important for actin patch polarization in yeast.
Findings highlight the role of Las17p binding for Vrp1p membrane association, suggest general membrane association may be more important than specific targeting to the cortical actin cytoskeleton for Vrp1p. function in endocytosis and cell growth.
Title: Verprolin function in endocytosis and actin organization. Roles of the Las17p (yeast WASP)-binding domain and a novel C-terminal actin-binding domain.
The following VRP1 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the VRP1 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
