On or before Apr 25, 2010 this sequence version replaced NM_001161821.1, NM_027302.1. CCDS Note: This CCDS is supported by the mRNAs AK006526.1 and BC049681.1, and the encoded protein includes a Pcc1 domain. However, it should be noted that this mouse Ctag2 gene shows poor conservation with the human CTAG2 gene (represented by CCDS14759.1 and CCDS35455.1), which may not be a true ortholog. Nonetheless, this mouse gene shows conservation in rat, so it may have a rodent-specific function. The human gene gives rise to multiple MHC epitopes that function in immune responses (e.g., PMIDs 10399963 and 14559844).
