GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
LAPTM4B is differentially expressed at the mRNA and protein levels in different bovine tissues. The mRNA yields a 26.3 kDa protein that undergoes mono-ubiquitination resulting in a 31.5 kDa isoform. Immunohistochemical observations revealed that LAPTM4B expression was highly variable among tissues, and among similar and adjacent cell types. LAPTM4B may confer protection against the accumulation of metabolic byproducts.
