GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
The study reports the crystal structure of Iml3 from Saccharomyces cerevisiae and further characterizes its interaction with Chl4.
Title: Structural insights into the role of the Chl4-Iml3 complex in kinetochore assembly.
In the absence of Iml3p, the two-hybrid interaction between Ctf19p (a member of the Ctf19 complex) and Dam1p (a member of the outer kinetochore DASH complex) was disrupted and the localization of Dam1p at the kinetochore was also compromised.
Title: Iml3p, a component of the Ctf19 complex of the budding yeast kinetochore is required to maintain kinetochore integrity under conditions of spindle stress.
Aft1 associates with the kinetochore complex through Iml3.
Title: Iron-responsive transcription factor Aft1 interacts with kinetochore protein Iml3 and promotes pericentromeric cohesin.
Iml3 is essential for sister chromatid segregation in meiosis I and chromosome non-disjunction in meiosis II.
Title: The Iml3 protein of the budding yeast is required for the prevention of precocious sister chromatid separation in meiosis I and for sister chromatid disjunction in meiosis II.
The following IML3 gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the IML3 cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
