GeneRIFs: Gene References Into Functions What's a GeneRIF?
The stomatal opening of guard cells with (crl-ch) or without chloroplasts (crl-no ch) in one epidermis of crl (crumpled leaf) mutant in Arabidopsis, were compared.
Title: Lacking chloroplasts in guard cells of crumpled leaf attenuates stomatal opening: both guard cell chloroplasts and mesophyll contribute to guard cell ATP levels.
In the crl mutant, cell cycle regulation is altered drastically and meristematic cells prematurely enter differentiation, leading to reduced plant stature and early endoreduplication in the leaves.
Title: Chloroplast dysfunction causes multiple defects in cell cycle progression in the Arabidopsis crumpled leaf mutant.
Constitutive AAA-ATPase expression, stunted growth, reduced Chl content, disturbed chloroplast division and spontaneous cell deaths in caa33 are caused by the mutation of a single gene, CRL.
Title: The chloroplast division mutant caa33 of Arabidopsis thaliana reveals the crucial impact of chloroplast homeostasis on stress acclimation and retrograde plastid-to-nucleus signaling.
CRL over-expressing plants showed an increased susceptibility to CaLCuV infection (as compared to wt plants) whereas CRL-silenced plants, on the contrary, presented a reduced susceptibility to Cabbage leaf curl virus infection.
Title: The infective cycle of Cabbage leaf curl virus (CaLCuV) is affected by CRUMPLED LEAF (CRL) gene in Arabidopsis thaliana.
crl mutant contains cells lacking detectable plastids; this situation probably results from an unequal partitioning of plastids to each daughter cell. [CRL]
Title: Plant cells without detectable plastids are generated in the crumpled leaf mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana.
The following CRL gene cDNA ORF clone sequences were retrieved from the NCBI Reference Sequence Database (RefSeq). These sequences represent the protein coding region of the CRL cDNA ORF which is encoded by the open reading frame (ORF) sequence. ORF sequences can be delivered in our standard vector, pcDNA3.1+/C-(K)DYK or the vector of your choice as an expression/transfection-ready ORF clone. Not the clone you want?
