GenScript ascites production is available in nude or Balb/c mice. Typically, 15-50 mg of purified antibodies is recovered from 5 mice, dependent upon the productivity of individual cell line. Average turnaround time is just 5-7 weeks.

Each mouse provides 2-5 ml ascites, for up to 100 ml of sera or ascites fluid. All in vivo manufactured antibodies are protein A/G purified.

	Description	Time Line
Phase I: Cell line submission, recovery, and expansion	Customer submits: 2 vials of frozen hybridoma cells The recipe of the culture medium for the submitted cells The name of the species from which the cell line was derived and the production history (if available) Once these materials are received, the cell line will be recovered. If there is no cell contamination, the cell line will be expanded to obtain enough cells for mouse inoculation.	1-2 weeks
Phase II: Inoculation	Each mouse is first primed with 0.5ml of Pristane for 2 weeks Peritoneal cavity injection of the primed mice with 0.5-1X10⁶ hybridoma cells per mouse Ascites production in 7-10 days	2-3 weeks
Phase III: Harvest	Ascites are harvested using aseptic techniques Cellular and lipid materials are removed by centrifugation Clarified ascites are aliquoted into sterile containers Aliquotes are labeled and immediately frozen or purified.	1 week
